We have now set up a Patient Participation Group called - Friends of Risedale Surgery (FORS)

Key Roles

  • This group was established in February 2012 – the group chose to be called Friends of Risedale Surgery (FORS) to try to develop a positive and constructive relationship between patients, the practice and the wider community. We want the practice to be responsive to patients' needs and also for our patients to understand and support the practice's systems, thereby helping us to deliver efficient care.
  • We will consult the FORS (Friends of Risedale Surgery) on all major developments within the practice and inform them of changes that have occurred.
  • We will ask the FORS for feedback on our services and performance, so that we can assess how successful we are being in the delivery of appropriate and efficient care.
  • We will conduct 'Patient Satisfaction Surveys' each year and discuss the results with the group, formulating an action plan.

Membership

  • All registered patients are welcome to join the FORS although the core group that meet quarterly is limited to ten in the present year and we wish to review this at the end of the year. All other patients will be able to have input via email or letter. Please contact us via our Practice Manager if you would like to express interest in becoming a member. Patients are willing to put themselves forward now for the Group Membership next year.
  • We aim to make FORS representative of all our patients and are particularly interested in recruiting younger patients, parents of young children and people from non- British ethnic groups as they are currently not well represented on the group .
